Runway: The airport has invested in and built a runway 3,250m long, 45m wide with 2 taxiways with exact dimensions of 2,404mx37m; 94mx19m respectively.
Aircraft parking lot: With a spacious area of ​​23,100m2, the aircraft parking lot of Lien Khuong International Airport can receive 5 aircraft at the same time. The aircraft that can land at this parking lot are all small aircraft such as ATR72, medium-range aircraft A320, A321 or equivalent.

Passenger terminal: As mentioned above, the passenger terminal of Lien Khuong Airport is uniquely designed in the shape of a yellow wild sunflower typical of Lam Dong plateau with a spacious area of ​​12,400m2. The roof is designed in yellow, when viewed from above, the terminal looks like a giant flower. The passenger terminal has 2 floors and is invested in modern equipment systems and advanced aviation technology. Ensuring that it can serve more than 800 passengers/peak hour.

III. Proposal to upgrade Lien Khuong Airport to international scale

The People’s Committee of Lam Dong province has just issued a document proposing the Ministry of Transport to consider approving the investment policy to upgrade Lien Khuong Airport from a 4D domestic airport to a 4E international airport with a full system of runways, taxiways, aprons and modern, advanced auxiliary equipment systems to receive large-body aircraft such as Airbus A380, Boeing 787… under the public-private partnership method.

Accordingly, the design capacity by 2030 is 5,000,000 passengers/year (building an additional international terminal, upgrading runways, taxiways, aprons, equipment systems…) on a land area of ​​about 340.84 hectares (according to the existing land area). The total investment is about 4,328 billion VND. The investment capital is 100% mobilized from investors; implementation time: 2023 — 2026.

 

IV. Lien Khuong Airport reopens many international routes

On December 3, the Board of Directors of Lien Khuong Airport (Lam Dong) said that from the beginning of December 2022, Lien Khuong Airport will reopen many routes to and from Lien Khuong Airport from Thailand, Malaysia, Korea… after a long suspension due to the epidemic.

The reopening of international flights to and from Lien Khuong Airport before the Da Lat Flower Festival aims to attract tourists and international businessmen to Da Lat, Lam Dong, contributing to promoting Da Lat tourism; at the same time, meeting the needs of people visiting and traveling to Korea, Thailand, Malaysia.
